To find myself back here, probably having spent 25 years of my life in this building, it’s really cool. It’s a family and I feel like it’s such a part of my life and part of who I am, just like the city.

Attended Peabody Prep as a child and later earned his master’s and doctoral degrees in music composition from the Peabody Conservatory. His father and mother also studied at Johns Hopkins. He teaches at both the Conservatory and the Preparatory and runs the Junior Bach program.
