Museums are really interesting entities because if you think about the practice of collecting and display, people tend to collect and display the things they care most about, that are the most powerful or resonant. So museums become treasure houses, but then they also very quickly become contested. What do you choose to collect? Whose story do we tell and how do we tell it? So museums are very complicated.
