My research is all in early childhood, because if you want to prevent problems later on, you start early when brains are first forming. So I’m really focused on the first five years of life, and when you work with young children, your work has to be with parents ... strengthening their skills, their competence, their confidence.

Specializes in building parent-child relationships and preventing pre-school behavioral problems in children from low-income neighborhoods.
