Subspecialty care is provided through a network of physicians in the Baltimore area. Many subspecialists we use are on the faculty or staff of the Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions. However, we have also painstakingly developed relationships with other physicians in the community. Many of them practice at Union Memorial Hospital, the closest hospital to the Homewood campus (about a 10 minute walk from campus). These physicians have been added to and remain on our referral list because, through the years, patients have told us they have received first-rate care from them. Some of these physicians are willing to see the patient the very same day we call for an appointment.
