About Us & Mission Statement

The Student Health and Wellness Center provides high quality, confidential health care to the campus community. The clinic is located on the Johns Hopkins University Homewood campus on the terrace level of AMR II. The health care staff consists of board certified/eligible physicians, nationally certified nurse practitioners, a licensed nurse, medical assistants/technologists, and a nurse mid-wife. We offer a broad range of primary care services, including routine gynecologic care.

Our center is open from Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. During the academic year, it is also open on Saturdays from 9:00 am to noon. Ill students can almost always be seen the same day. There is a physician on-call whenever the Health Center is closed. We do not charge for any services provided by the Health Center itself. Simple in-house laboratory tests (i.e. rapid strep test, hemoglobin blood count, urinalysis, monospot test) are performed in the Health Center at no charge. Other lab tests are sent to one of several commercial laboratories; charges for these test are generally billed directly to your insurance company.
