ARMED ROBBERY

WHERE:University Parkway & Canterbury Road

WHEN:February 6, 1998 - - 3:25 AM

HOW:Displayed weapon and took money.

WANTED:Black male, 18-20 yrs, 5'7"-5'9", thin build, dark complexion, round face, dark knit cap, brown winter jacket, blue jeans, unknown caliber black revolver.

An undergraduate student walking in the intersection of University Parkway and Canterbury Road was approached from behind by an assailant who asked "Do you have any money?" and displayed a handgun. The assailant took money and fled south on Canterbury Road, then possibly into a vehicle (blue or black 2-door Honda Civic) headed west on University Parkway. The student was not physically injured.

The security department strongly recommends using the escort service. After 3:00 AM escorts are provided by Hopkins officers. If possible do not walk alone. If approached by a robber, immediately surrender property. If you are the victim of crime, promptly report it to Hopkins security or Baltimore Police.
