An undergraduate student walking in the intersection
of University Parkway and Canterbury Road was approached from
behind by an assailant who asked "Do you have any money?"
and displayed a handgun. The assailant took money and fled south
on Canterbury Road, then possibly into a vehicle (blue or black
2-door Honda Civic) headed west on University Parkway. The student
was not physically injured.
The security department strongly recommends using
the escort service. After 3:00 AM escorts are provided by Hopkins
officers. If possible do not walk alone. If approached by a robber,
immediately surrender property. If you are the victim of crime,
promptly report it to Hopkins security or Baltimore Police.
