Some ploys used by thieves - Don't be fooled by someone using a clipboard or pad of paper as a prop to make him appear to be an official with paperwork. Don't be thrown off your initial suspicions about someone's presence in a restricted area by a request for something of minor value, such as the use of a pen, a tissue or directions to an office.
