October 9, 2012 – 8:05 PM

A JHU graduate student was walking eastbound when two suspects approached him from behind and stated, “You are in my way”.  The graduate student stepped off to the side and one of the suspects punched him and pushed him to the ground. The other suspect also struck the graduate student several times while he was on the ground. The student gave the suspects cash and they were last seen running west on the 31st Street. The graduate student walked to campus and called Campus Security.  The student was transported by ambulance to Union Memorial Hospital for treatment of minor injuries and released.  The area was canvassed for the suspects by Campus Security and Baltimore Police with negative results.  Investigation continuing.

Description of Suspects:

Two Black males, one wearing grey shirt, both in their 20’s, no additional description.
