Off-Campus 

Bicycle Theft - 113 W. University Parkway - On Aug. 12th at 12:00 PM, a JHU undergraduate used a cable lock to secure her bicycle to a post in front of the Lacrosse Hall of Fame building. The undergraduate returned on Aug. 13th at 10:20 AM and the bicycle and lock were missing. Investigation continuing.

 

Attempt Auto Theft - Unit Blk. E. 30th St. (south side) - On Aug. 8th at 7:00 PM, a graduate student parked her vehicle and upon returning to the vehicle on Aug. 13th at 6:54 PM, she saw the side window had been forced open and the ignition had been removed. Baltimore Police responded. Investigation continuing.

 

Unarmed Robbery - 300 Blk. Wyman Park Drive (location corrected from previous alert) - On Aug. 15th at 8:47 AM, a JHU employee walking at this location was robbed of her purse by several males who fled in a brown or gold colored Volvo.  For more details, see the Security Alert at http://www.jhu.edu/security/SA2013Su10.pdf

 

Attempt Burglary - 3200 Blk. Guilford Ave. (even-numbered side) - On Aug. 15th at 11:26 PM, Baltimore Police responded to an audible alarm at a JHU undergraduate's residence and found a security grate removed from a window and the glass window pane broken. Baltimore Police checked the interior of the residence with negative results. The residence was unoccupied at the time and Baltimore Police secured the residence. Investigation continuing.

 

 When traveling at night use the Blue Jay Shuttle service at 410-516-8700.  Blue Jay Shuttle Vans are operational from 5:45 PM to 4:00 AM.
