On-Campus 

Bicycle Theft - Bike Rack between Krieger and MSE Library - On July 2nd between 12:00 PM and 12:49 PM, a bicycle secured to the rack by a cable lock was stolen. Investigation continuing.

 

Destruction of Property - Rear of Greenhouse Annex - On July 4th at 11:43 PM, a campus officer found a parked vehicle with a side window broken out. It is not known if anything was stolen.  Investigation continuing.

 

Off-Campus 

Unarmed Robbery - E. 33rd & Guilford Ave. On July 1st at 10:20 PM, a JHU alumnus was robbed of his IPhone by a group of teenagers. See Security Alert. http://www.jhu.edu/security/SA2013Su04.pdf

 

Unarmed Robbery (Outside of Patrol Area) - On July 2nd at 10:45 PM, a JHU student was robbed of his wallet and cell phone by a group of four male teenagers. See Security Alert.  http://www.jhu.edu/security/SA2013Su05.pdf

 

Armed Robbery (Non-Affiliate) - 200 Blk. E. 33rd St. (north side) - On July 3rd at 5:00 AM, a non-affiliated male waiting at the MTA bus stop was approached by two unknown males in their early 20's. One male pointed a handgun while the other male, wearing a ski-mask, took a cell phone and wallet from the victim. No injuries. The suspects fled east on 33rd St. and were last seen running south in the 3200 Blk. of Guilford Ave.  Baltimore Police and campus officers searched the area with negative results.  See Security Alert http://www.jhu.edu/security/SA2013Su06.pdf

 

ARREST - DUI - Unit Blk. E. 33rd St. - On July 7th at 4:09 AM, a non-affiliate was driving a vehicle northbound on N. Charles St. and attempted to turn right onto eastbound 33rd Street. The driver failed to negotiate the turn properly and the vehicle left the roadway striking shrubbery alongside Charles Commons. The vehicle came to a stop on the median strip of the 100 Blk. of E. 33rd Street. Campus Officers and Baltimore Police responded. The non-affiliate driver was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol by Baltimore Police.

 

When traveling at night use the Blue Jay Shuttle service at 410-516-8700.  Blue Jay Shuttle Vans are operational from 5:45 PM to 4:00 AM.

All students are welcome to participate in the security ride along program.
