Weekly Campus Crime Report

 

April 8, 2013 - April 15, 2013

 

On-Campus 

Theft - Olin Hall, second floor office - On April 8th at 2:40 PM, a faculty member left her backpack containing electronics, wallet, cash and credit cards on a chair in an open and unattended office. The faculty member returned at 3:00 PM and all items were missing. Investigation continuing.

 

Case Update - Thef t- Gilman Hall- On April 5, 2013, a Baltimore District Court Commissioner issued an arrest warrant for a suspect in connection with the theft of a JHU affiliate's wallet and credit cards from Gilman Hall on March 28, 2013. Theft - Wyman Park Building -5th floor - On Apr 11th at 3:45 PM, a JHU staff member returned to her office to find an unknown male standing in her office. The staff member questioned the person why he was in the office and if he was a student or needed assistance. The unknown male said he had cut his hand and he was looking for medical attention. After the staff member directed the suspect to Occupational Health she checked her purse to find all of her cash missing from the wallet. A search of the area was conducted with negative results. Investigation continuing.

 

Off Campus

 

Common Assault - 2900 Blk Wyman Parkway. - On Apr. 11th at 11:45 AM, a JHU student reported while walking northbound in the park, he was approached by three juvenile males. One of the juveniles struck the student in the forehead with his fist at which time the student ran from the area.  The student was unable to provide a description of the juveniles or a direction of travel. No medical assistance was requested.  Investigation continuing.

 

 

 

 

When traveling at night use the Blue Jay Shuttle service at 410-516-8700.  Blue Jay Shuttle Vans are operational from 5:45 PM to 4:00 AM.

All students are welcome to participate in the security ride along program.
