Weekly Campus Crime Report

 

March 25, 2013 - April 1, 2013

 

On-Campus 

Theft - Mergenthaler Hall, fourth floor - On March 26th at 3:20 PM, a graduate student left her purse containing her wallet inside a classroom. She returned approximately 30 minutes later and discovered her cash and debit card had been taken from the wallet. Investigation continuing.

 

Thefts - New Chemistry Building, 3rd floor labs - On March 29th between 4:50 PM and 5:00 PM, a graduate student's unattended laptop computer was taken from a desk top inside an unlocked lab. In an adjoining lab, an undergraduate's unattended laptop computer was taken from a desk top during the same time period. The hallway door to this lab was locked but the door connecting the two labs was not locked. Investigation continuing.

 

 

Off Campus

 

Auto Theft - 3000 Blk. St. Paul St. (rear of the odd-numbered side) - On March 26th at 4:15 PM, a JHU affiliate parked his vehicle behind his residence. On March 27th at 6:05 AM, the affiliate noticed the vehicle had been taken from the parking space. The affiliate said he had locked the vehicle's doors; however, a spare key had been left in the glove box. Baltimore Police responded. Investigation continuing.

 

 

 When traveling at night use the Blue Jay Shuttle service at 410-516-8700.  Blue Jay Shuttle Vans are operational from 5:45 PM to 4:00 AM.

All students are welcome to participate in the security ride along program.
