Weekly Campus Crime Report

 

August 27, 2012 – September 4, 2012

 

On-Campus

 

Theft Levering Hall, room 22 – Between Aug. 31st at 12:00 PM and Sept. 1st at 9:00 AM, an undergraduate’s laptop computer was taken from a couch inside the orientation room. Many individuals have the ability to access the room by key. Investigation continuing.

Off Campus

 

ARREST- ASSAULT2900 Block of Saint Paul St. – On Sept. 3rd at 1:41 AM, campus officers responded to this location for a large party. A group was gathered outside and officers observed a non-affiliate male suspect remove his shirt, scream profanities and attempt to punch a JHU undergraduate. Campus officer quickly stopped the suspect and while interviewing him, the suspect punched one of the officers in the face without provocation. The suspect was detained by campus officers until Baltimore Police arrived. Baltimore Police arrested the suspect for assault. The campus officer was treated at Union Memorial Hospital and released.

Bicycle Theft -- 3300 Blk. St. Paul Street, west side bike rack -- On August 29, 2012 at 3:51 PM, a non-affiliate secured his mountain bike to the bicycle rack with a cable lock and left the area. At 4:03 PM, CCTV showed a male suspect remove the bike after using wire cutters to cut the cable lock. The suspect was last seen riding the bike south on St. Paul Street. Baltimore Police and Campus officers responded. Investigation continuing. .

When traveling at night use the Blue Jay Shuttle service at 410-516-8700.  Blue Jay Shuttle Vans are operational from 5:45 PM to 4:00 AM.
