Robbery (Unarmed) 3400-3500 Blk. San Martin Drive (East side of roadway) – On Oct. 26th at 8:35 PM, a freshman was jogging northbound on the east side of the roadway. A male suspect walking south on the west side of the street ran across San Martin Drive and knocked the victim down. The suspect put the victim in a headlock and took her IPod. The victim was able to break free and run to the guard booth located at San Martin Drive. The suspect fled the scene running into the wooded area on the west side of the road. The victim was not injured. Baltimore Police and Campus Officers responded and canvassed the area with negative results. Investigation continuing

Suspect Description: Male, white, approximately 30 years of age, 5’07’’, medium build with muscular arms, brown hair (short buzz cut), wearing a brown short sleeve shirt.

ARREST - Assault and Robbery (Armed) – 100 Blk. W University Pkwy, (South side, side walk) – On Oct. 26th at 11:23 PM, a senior was walking alone westbound. Two male suspects approached the victim and one produced a knife and demanded his property. The suspects took the victim’s cell phone and fled across University Pkwy. A description of the suspects was broadcasted. A Campus Officer observed two suspects fitting the description in the 4100 Blk. of N Charles St. One suspect ran but the officer was able to detain the second suspect. Baltimore police responded and witnesses positively identified the detained suspect as being involved in the robbery. Baltimore Police and Campus Officers responded. Investigation continuing.

 

 

Burglary (Private Residence)2700 Blk. N. Calvert St. (odd-numbered side) – On Oct. 24th at 7:52 PM, a non-affiliate’s laptop computer was taken from his unoccupied 2nd floor apartment by an unknown male. A building resident heard an audible 2nd floor alarm and when looking out his back door he observed a male suspect descending the fire escape ladder carrying a laptop computer. The suspect was last seen walking north on Hunter Street. Entry to the 2nd floor apartment appears to have been through a rear fire escape window. Baltimore Police and a campus officer responded. Investigation continuing.

 

Aggravated Assault3000 Blk. Guilford Ave. (Rear yard) – On Oct. 28th at 1:45am, a JHU undergraduate reported walking into the backyard of his friend’s house and saw two unknown males.  The student departed the area quickly and saw one of the suspects swing what appeared to be a pipe at him.  The student was not struck and ran to a security officer nearby informing him of the incident.  Campus Security and the Baltimore Police canvassed the area with negative results. No injuries.  Investigation continuing.

 

Theft Charles Apts. 8th floor, 3333 N. Charles St. – Between Oct. 28th at 10:30 PM and Oct. 29th at 1:00 AM, a laptop computer was taken from the top of a sofa in the living room of a sophomore’s apartment. There was a party attended by students at the apartment during this time.  Investigation continuing.

When traveling at night use the Blue Jay Shuttle service at 410-516-8700.  Blue Jay Shuttle Vans are operational from 5:00 PM to 3:00 AM.
