On Campus

 

 

Animal ComplaintDunning Hall – On May 27th at 4:20 PM, two stray Pit Bull dogs were contained by Campus Officers, Baltimore Police and Animal Control.  No injuries.

 

TrespassingCharles Commons – On May 28th at 12:24 AM, a non-affiliate, who tailgated into the Charles Street building entrance behind two students, was identified, issued a trespass warning and escorted off JHU property.

 

 

 Off Campus

 

Auto Accident (Personal Injury)Wyman Park Drive at the Southwest Gate – May 29th at 2:04 PM, a staff member attempting to make a left turn into the southwest gate struck a vehicle driven by a non-affiliate which then rolled on its side.  The non-affiliate was taken by Baltimore City Ambulance to Union Memorial Hospital.  The Staff member reported no injuries.  Hopkins Officers and  JHU Parking attendants assisted Baltimore Police in traffic control.  

 

Attempt Theft (Shoplifting)Barnes & Noble Bookstore, 3330 St. Paul St. – June 1st at 3:50 PM, a store employee observed a male removing security stickers from textbooks. The male left the store with the books hidden under a winter coat but returned to the location and abandoned the books in the vestibule when a campus officer ordered him to stop.  The suspect was last seen running to a car parked on St. Paul Street and driving east on 33rd Street.  Baltimore Police responded.  Investigation continuing.

 

 

REMINDERS

 

When traveling at night use the Security Department’s escort service at 410-516-8700.  Security Escort Vans are operational from 5:00 PM to 3:00AM.

During exam week an Escort Van will also be running from 3:00 AM to 7:00 AM as a service to students studying on campus.
