The dome and louvers should be closed, the telescope pointed at the flat field screen, and tracking should be off.
- Hit "turn on fflamp" in the PT Target Selection window. The button shows "turn off fflamp" when the lamp is on. It lights up yellow when the mouse is off the button.
- Enter the number of sets of dome exposures in the "Dome frames" field. A good number is five (5), get no less than three (3) good sets.
- Ensure the number in the "Bias frames" box is zero (the single digit 0 and nothing else), and no targets are selected for observation. Targets listed in the lower half of the PT Target Selection window should be removed by double clicking with the middle mouse button.
- Ensure that "Stop after this object" is unchecked.
- Hit the Observe button.
- When finished, turn off the lamp.
The number in the "Dome frames" field is the number of sets of exposures remaining, not including the current one. You may quit after the current set either by setting this number to 0 or checking the "Stop after this object" box.
Appropriate entries are placed in the log automatically.
