TCS Backups

Copies of TCS (3-1/4 inch floppies) are in the document drawer in the 20-inch dome. TCS will run without a hard disk on the i486 computer; just pick a floppy that boots MS-DOS (they're labeled) and type TCS at the MS-DOS prompt. (If the hard disk fails, you'll need first to disable it in the BIOS setup.)

To make a backup copy of TCS, reset the control computer. It'll boot to MS-DOS and leave you in the TCS directory (C:\TCS). Put a formatted floppy in the A: drive and

> copy *.* A:
It'll take a while.

A complete copy of the TCS directory is also kept in ptlog/tcs. If you modify TCS, be sure to copy them to the ptlog and check in the changes.
