A. JHED LOGIN SCREEN
You are authenticated to the Student Web Registration through the
Johns Hopkins Enterprise Directory (JHED). Please go to http://JHED.jhu.edu
or http://JHED.jhmi.edu
to complete your "First Time Login" to this directory. You will
then have your LID and password to login to Web Registration.
If you have problems logging in to JHED, please contact Support Services
at 410-516-HELP or visit the 1st
Time Login Help Screen for assistance.

B. MAIN MENU
The Main Menu Screen for Web Registration contains
contact information regarding your Identification Information, Current
Schedule Summary for the current term, and opportunities to Register for
a future term or Add/Drop courses for the current term. Please keep in
mind that you must clear any hold(s) prior to registration by consulting
with your adviser to approve your course schedule, consulting the Registrar's
Office for insurance and/or consulting with the Student Accounts Office
for financial reasons (you will be prompted about the appropriate office
to contact).

C. STUDENT DATA FORM
The Student Data Form contains your biographical information, your contact
information for your local address While attending Hopkins and your permanent
home address. This screen also gives you the opportunity to enter your
emergency contact information. Under the Local Address While Attending
Hopkins is your JHEM e-mail address. This is the e-mail address that will
be used to send ALL student correspondence. The Johns Hopkins University
recognizes JHEM e-mail as its official e-mail communication resource for
students. If you have another e-mail account and prefer to use
it, you can forward JHEM mail to that account. If you need assistance
creating an e-mail forward, contact our student consultants at: 410-516-4242
or visit them in Academic Krieger Lab.

D. REGISTER SCREEN
The Registration Screen is where you can enter your course numbers to
register or add courses for the current term. You must either know your
course numbers or click on the Course Schedule link to open the course
catalog that contains course information. You have the option of saving
your course choices by clicking on the Work In Progress link. This will
save your course choices so you can return later, but will not submit
to the Student Registration System. If you wish to submit your courses,
you must click the SUBMIT button at the bottom of the screen. Please keep
in mind that you must clear any hold(s) prior to registration by consulting
with your adviser to approve your course schedule. You must register for
the minimum number of credits as stipulated by your home division in order
to maintain your enrollment status. You must also retain at least one
registered course in your Course Registration Schedule. If you have difficulty
submitting your course registration, please contact the Registar's Office.

E. REGISTRATION SUMMARY SCREEN
The Registration Summary Screen has a two-fold purpose.
If this is your first web registration attempt, your screen will only
list the courses that you have registered for. On this screen, you now
have the opportunity to Drop acourse by checking the Drop Box provided
in the last column. After dropping the course, be sure to click the SUBMIT
button at the bottom of the screen. If you have previously registered
for courses and add a course to your registration, this screen will now
display the newly added course, asking you to choose your action, i.e.,
Register, Wait, or Remove. It will also list courses for which you have
previously registered. You can choose to drop a course from this summary
screen by checking the appropriate checkbox. After confirming your action
and/or dropping a course, be sure to click the SUBMIT button at the bottom
of the screen. You must register for the minimum number of credits as
stipulated by your home division in order to maintain your enrollment
status. You must also retain at least one registered course in your Course
Registration Schedule.

F. REGISTRATION CONFIRMATION
The Registration Confirmation lists all of the courses you have Registered/Wait
Listed for the current term. You can print this confirmation, however,
you should continueto check this page for up-to-date information on meeting
times and location, as these are subject to change before the class begins.
