Mission Statement |
||
| The Johns Hopkins Jail Tutorial Project provides tutoring to immates at teh Baltimore City Prison, typically at the Women's Detention Center. Students at Johns Hopkin are given the opportunity to put their educations to use in a constructive and meaningful setting by tutoring female inmates in G.E.D. work once or twice a week. This year, we are also adding a reading/discussion group. Inmates in the Baltimore City Prison system are generally not given many opportunities to improve their level of education, and the Jail Tutorial Project helps in this aim. | ||
