What are the dates for Orientation 2008?
JHU Orientation 2008 will take place from August 29 through September 3.
When will the mailrooms begin to take packages?
The mailrooms will begin to take packages on August 24.
Does Move-In interfere with Orientation?
Move-In is part of Orientation and will take place August 29 & August 30, depending on your housing assignment. You will recieve this assignment from the Housing Department in late July. We are fully staffed to assist you upon your arrival. Upcoming mailings will contain more information about Move-In days.
How long should parents plan to stay?
There will be receptions for parents beginning with Move-In and running through mid-day Sunday, August 31.
When am I supposed to receive the Health Insurance Packet?

What do we have to do, and when do we have to do it, if our student is on a Pre-O trip?

I want to work part-time (or I have work study). How can I find a job?
Look for the Job Fair during Orientation.
Where can I sign up for my ResNet connection?
During Orientation Week packets for ResNet connections can be picked up at various locations. For more information visit www.it.jhu.edu/resnet/.
Can I move in early?
Moving in before the assigned move-in days is generally discouraged. Special requests are addressed on a case by case basis through the AMR II Housing Office, which can be reached at (410) 516-8282.
When can I begin to receive mail on campus?
Incoming students often have items from home that they'd like to send ahead to campus. Campus mailrooms can begin to receive mail on August 24. When you receive your room assignment from the Housing Office, they will provide you with your correct mailing address.
