Exhibition. Homewood House Museum,
Tuesday through Friday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Saturday and
Sunday, noon to 4 p.m. Homewood House Museum presents Feathers, Fins and Fur: The Pet in Early Maryland, an exhibition resulting from an undergraduate course at The Johns Hopkins University. Drawing on correspondence, probate inventories, newspaper ads, journals, and a rich array of visual materials, the exhibition explores views of the pets and livestock that were part of early Maryland's scenery, and especially of Homewood, the 1801 country house of the Carroll family. The exhibition, presented in partnership with the Maryland SPCA, is on view during regularly scheduled museum tours. Free with museum admission. $6 adults, $5 seniors, $3 students and children (6+), free/JHU staff, faculty and students, and teachers with school ID. Free admission to the museum will be granted to visitors who bring in an item from the SPCA's Animal Wish List. 410-516-5589.

ART Munch presents "Off the Streets and Into the Studio," a discussion by Tony Shore, a Baltimore artist and professor at the Maryland Institute College of Art, of the development of Access Art. Located in the library building where Mr. Shore spent countless childhood hours drawing after school, Access Art offers kids the opportunity to use their understanding of their environment and artistic skills as catalysts for social change in their own community. The facility includes a youth-run art gallery, classroom space, darkroom and computer lab, as well as a studio for resident artists. All the art instruction is free to the community.
