Matthew Ross

My Friend

Who is this wonderful man so patient and so kind
Who is not afraid of conviction and always speaks his mind
Born in Midland Texas on February 11, 1953
This man is my friend and will always be an inspiration to me.

He attended the University of Texas where he worked so very hard
He earned a BA in Latin American Studies graduated Magna Cum Laude
Then he went to Mexico to teach English where he met his beautiful wife
Married and young he moved to Miami where he began his successful life.

Who is this wonderful man who is honest and patient and fair
Who is a good golfer and so understanding and has some gray in his hair
This man is very religious and trusts God when he is in strife
This man is my friend and hopefully always will be for the rest of my life.

People say I am weird and they always make fun of me
But my friend is always willing to listen and to make some time for me
He is a champion for kids to get an education to be successful in their lives
And he always encourages me to be my best he says I will do well if I strive.

Who is this man I write about …who tries to hard to keep us safe and free
Who is this man who makes me laugh and is there to listen to me
Although he is so busy and has little time to have fun
He is always there so giving even when he is on the run

The man who I admire and would some day like to be
He is the Governor of the proud State of Florida ..a leader of many
I admire him more than words could ever say
This man is my friend Jeb Bush …God Bless the USA
