Dansgaard-Oeschger oscillations

Greenland ice cores

Global millennial scale climate variability dominates the climate proxies of ice core sequences. Over the Last Glacial Cycle, an important millennial mode was the Dansgaard-Oeschger (D-O) cycle. Visit these presentations: our assessment of the global occurrence of  D-O cycles and how we found errors in the currently assigned chronology of the Greenland ice cores.
