Chesapeake Bay

     20th Century climate response

     Hydrometeorological controls

This large, shallow estuary is sensitive to local hydrometeorology and to regional climate conditions that affect the bay watershed. These presentations analyze intra-annual hydro-meteorological responses of a tidal subestuary, and intra- and inter-annual climatic changes recorded in the 20th century stratigraphic record in bay mainstem depocenters.
