Objective:Understanding Milankovitch-forced climate change involves exploration of orbital-insolation-climate mechanism(s). Historically, orbital theory calculations have been limited by low accuracy; recently, new numerical solutions offer potential validity over the past 250 Ma. Both historical and current models, e.g., the Milankovitch 1941 and Laskar 1993 models shown below, will be made available in the CHRONOS toolbox as executable modules.
