Danya Spritzer |
Soprano | 2008 | My name is Danya Spritzer and I am a Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering major with a bioengineering concentration. Aside from studying and singing, I enjoy volunteering my time and working with kids. I am also a member of Patchwork, a community service/arts and crafts club that does crafts programs with kids and makes crafts to donate. In my free time, I enjoy listening to music and crocheting. |
| Grace Fried | Soprano | 2009 | Grace Fried (NYC) is a natural science public health major, class '09. She is also a varsity fencer, soprano, master chef and quilter. Grace really enjoys the color blue, mash-ups, eating contests and sleeping. |
| Julie Dischell | Soprano | 2010 | Julie is a badass soprano from Pennsylvania. If she ever stops laughing, you won't want to mess with her. |
| Laura Tsang | Mezzo | 2008 | Hi all, I'm Laura Tsang, a Biology major who isn't a pre-med, and I'm from Singapore. I enjoy singing and messing around on the piano, and I find joy in taking things apart for no reason too. I love being around nature, especially in autumn, when the red leaves start to fall. In my free time, I watch anime and martial arts drama. |
| Kari Sepelyak (Business Manager) |
Alto | 2009 | Hi, I'm Kari, Ketzev's business manager and alto extraordinaire. I'm a behavioral biology major in the class of '09, and I'm proud to come from the tiny, tax-free state of Delawhere. I am the overbearing mother of a betta fish named Angelo, and I love working with my lab rats (before I have to slice their brains). In my spare time I watch trashy TV, go condom raiding, spontaneously clean things that look dirty, and eat ice cream. Shemesh. |
| Maya Zloof | Alto | 2010 | Hi, I'm Maya Zloof. I'm a BME major (premed) from New York-- the city, to be precise. When I'm not singing or going crazy with coursework, I play frisbee, dance salsa, play guitar, crochet, do Tae Kwon Do, fix things using duct tape alone, go on crazy political rants, and otherwise spontaneously dabble in everything at once. I'm known for always wearing far too many layers to look comfortable, being obsessively picky about grammar, and perpetually having a kettle ready for any passersby who might want some chai. |
| Carolyn Purington | Alto | 2010 | Carolyn Purington is a class of '10
BME from Massachusetts. When she is not singing in Hebrew, she enjoys exercising, eating good food, volunteering, music, movies, hanging out, and having fun. |
| Andrew Dolinko | Tenor | 2008 | Andrew is a wise senior from California. He is well-known in the group for telling matzoh stories and spontaneously busting out a wicked rendition of the Tetris theme song. |
| Cem Onat Yilmaz | Tenor | 2009 | Hi I'm Cem, studying something I have not decieded yet. I love JHU, my acapella group and the modern dance company. Come to our concerts, enjoy our joy. I love to laugh. In my free time I chill and play the guitar. |
| Josh Lerman (President) |
Bass | 2008 | Josh is a senior from Delray Beach, Florida. He studies BME and Applied Math at Hopkins. He's on facebook for all your stalking needs. |
| Nate Shalom | Bass | 2009 | Silver Spring, MD-though not all that amazingly far from JH, there's still no place like home. I'm Nate, and though I've switched around, at this point I'm a Computer Engineering major alongside pre-med--I like to keep all options open. I can balance an entire Crayola marker chain on my nose, can expertly catch Skittles in my mouth, and impulsively watch Saturday Night Fever with my ever-accommodating girlfriend. I love Washington, DC and its classy aspects, especially when I have the chance to give a recital at the good ol' Hilton or attend the occasional Vocal Arts Society/Yale Club event. To burn off steam, I do martial arts, and (usually in the summer) fight in the WTF nationals...yes, all the while singing Stayin' Alive. |
| Marshall Honorof | Bass | 2009 | Hey everyone. My name is Marshall Honorof, and I'm from Long Island. I'm studying Writing Seminars and Biology, so I can... well... write about science. I enjoy singing and practicing taekwando. In my free time, I'm a big gamer (video games, cards, tabletop), sci-fi reader, and nautical sportsman. Live long and prosper. |
| Stephen Edwards | Bass | 2010 | Stephen is a sophomore. He makes music. Lots of music. |
| Jon Kirsch (Musical Director) |
Bass | Grad | Jon is hella excited to be serving as Ketzev's musical director for the second time. A third-year graduate student, Jon will officially "be old" in the next year or so. He enjoys eating pasta on his octagon table and watching Twin Peaks. He ate his first banana this past summer. Clearly. |
