  Hi JSI,

  My name is Keisuke Hinami, and I graduated Hopkins in 2000. I was involved in JSI 97-00, I have great memories, and well, here I am writing to you. It is nice to see that you guys still get together, and by the looks of the photographs you seem to be managing to have some fun despite the heavy lifting that the school undoubtedly demands. Nice work. Website is also looking fab.

  By ways of introduction I graduated in december 2000 with a BA in Economics, and via DISCO I got my first job at UBS Investment Bank in its Tokyo office. After several years of M&A advisory work at UBS, I left for CVC, a private equity firm focused on leveraged buyout investments in the Asia Pacific region. At this point I apologise if I am speaking Greek to some of you, but in short I have been in the financial industry in Japan for some time now. I am married, and we have a little son.

  In terms of what I can offer you guys, please consider me at your disposal for any questions you have about working in finance, working in Japan, or even life after college (of course if you deem me fit for that sort of thing). What I can definitely be is someone you don't need to impress.

  In the meantime, best of luck with your final exams.
  You'll get through it alive. I promise.
