Good Golly!

There's something about Evergreen Museum & Library's stately mid-19th-century facade that makes artists go a little crazy. Four years ago, the biennial Sculpture at Evergreen outdoor exhibition welcomed a giant devil head to the front lawn. This year's show, curated by Andrea Pollan, has a glowing cube installed at the grounds' entrance and a great green glob making its way up the mansion's front steps. We think Evergreen's legendary proprietress and patron of the arts Alice Garrett would have loved it. Works by 10 artists will be on display through September 28.

At top: Shooting Electrons, by Mike Womack. Below, clockwise from top: Hideouts, by J Hill; Green Golly, by Sharon Engelstein; Ephemerally Everchanging Evergreen, by Wee Lit Tan; Sky Glow, by Michele Kong; and Engelstein's Green Golly from a different perspective.
