There is a lot of information on the Web about IBS. Two sites with many links to other sites are "The IBS Page," http://www.panix.com/%7Eibs/ and http:/www.pharmiq.com/pat/htmlpage/ibs.htm.

An IBS self-help group [ http://www.ibsgroup.org/] features bulletin boards where users offer remedies (slippery elm herb capsules, for instance) and can request information.

The National Institutes of Health maintains an authoritative site on IBS featuring a Q & A and a list of books on IBS and digestive disorders. Reach it at http://www.niddk.nih.gov/IBS/IBS.html.
