Just over a year ago, the School of Education made its debut as a stand-alone academic division. But Johns Hopkins' commitment to training educators dates back to the 1909 founding of the College Courses for Teachers, a part-time degree program. The School of Education is celebrating that centennial this year; visit education.jhu.edu/anniversary for information. Here, students from the Summer Courses for Teachers gather in front of Gilman Hall for a photo, ca. 1921. — Catherine Pierre |
