Welcome to Hopkins!

You'll soon find out the academic rigors of college life, but we want to remind you that there is fun to be had before you open up your orgo book (that's Organic Chemistry. No offense to non-premeds) If your freshman experience is anything like ours, these upcoming weeks will be really exciting and memorable. The Muslim Association's goal is to provide for the religious needs of Muslims on and around campus as well as to establish a tolerant Islamic community here. We hope that you will take the time to get to know us and become part of our community.

During the semester, Alhamdulillah, we have alot of events planned, so just check out our Events page or the Calendar for more details.

On a regular basis, we try to alternate weeks with religious event (student-run halaqas, local speakers) and social events (anything from bowling to pot luck dinners, to ESPNZone or Cheesecake Factory at the Harbor). The Interfaith Center, of the IFC has a prayer room open to us every day for all prayers, and we use the IFC during Ramadan for suhoor and iftar. JHUMA also does some major showcase events like an annual banquet around Eid time, and Islam Awareness Days. Please email any of the board members if you have questions.
