The Executive Board

President:

Shekeab Jauhari <shekeabj@jhu.edu>

Salaam, my name is Shekeab. I'm majoring in physics and enjoy taking anthropology classes as well. Some people know me by the 3 P's, others just call me Shak. I'm looking forward to a fun, successful, and beneficial school year, inshAllah. If you have any questions or requests concerning JHUMA, please don't hesitate to e-mail me!

Vice President:

DiDi Khatib <didi@jhu.edu>

Salaam everyone. I'm DiDi, a senior Public Health Studies and Econ major. Although I spend more hours a week wheelin and dealin around campus with a radio than everything else combined (including sleeping), I still find time to be your "lovely" VP. In my free time, I enjoy planning JHUMA events with Shak and watching Orgo lecture reruns. Some people call me their HERO, but I don't like to toot my own horn - unless we're doing the locomotion! If y'all are ready to hop on, I'm psyched to get this year's JHUMA train out of the station. Ok, I might've overplayed that joke. But what do you expect from someone who comes from Wisconsin by way of New England boarding school?

Treasurer:

Heba Mustufa <treasurer.jhuma@gmail.com>

Assalam Alaikum! This is my second year on board, and insha Allah I'm looking forward to doing what I can to help the Muslim community out this year. If you're looking for me at an event, I'm probably the person you'd deem most 'violently happy.' My major is Computer Engineering, and I think the MSA is super cool, Alhumdulillah.

Secretary/Webmaster:

Saira Malik <spmalik25@gmail.com>

Salaam all. My name is Saira and I’m a senior Public Health major. I’ve been known to be pretty random, but that doesn’t stop me from helping out with what I can on the JHUMA board. Three things you should know about me: I hate the game monopoly, I love apple juice, and I like to eat meat…yeah. Oh, I also love seeing your wonderful faces at JHUMA events and around campus-especially yours, person at the keyboard.

External Community Relations:

Nadia Khan <k.nadia17@gmail.com>

Nadia is a senior, International Studies major from Northeastern Maryland. As an External Community Relations Officer, she is looking forward to building JHUMA’s connections with the campus and greater Baltimore community. Nadia isn’t all work, though; she once had a henna tattoo of the Mortal Kombat dragon tagged to the palm of her hand. Although she won’t admit it, she’s also a Black Belt in TKD, and could take out a ninja with her eyes closed, henna tattoo and all.

Budri Abubaker-Sharif <sbudri@gmail.com >

Budri is a junior BME major at Hopkins, and is very excited to be an External Community Relations Officer for this year. When he’s not doing 12-hour long problem sets at 4 am that are due the next day or catching up on his sleep on M-Level, he’s smashing someone in ping pong or busily running off somewhere else. Still, Mashallah, Budri is a LEGIT brother…

Internal Community Relations:

Rizwana Haneef <rizwana.haneef@gmail.com >

Rizwana is a junior, Neuroscience major, and is very excited to be the Internal Community Relations officer for this year. She loves spending time with her roommates and meeting new people. Also, she likes trying to make new dishes and desserts, like yummy apple pie. Also, she has an older sister who is a senior at Johns Hopkins. Her grace is unrivaled in all the land. Please contact her if you have any questions about JHUMA.

Absar Ullah <iamabsarullah@gmail.com>

Salaam, I am Absar! I am a junior Biology major from New York. I am also serving as an Internal Community Relations Officer this year. I’m lazy, loud, but still very likable; Shekeab loves to wash all the dishes I pile up in the sink. When I’m not running around after DiDi for the Hopkins Elite Advanced Emergency Medical Response Division Task Force, I enjoy spending time with the brethren. Please contact me if you have any questions about JHUMA. Now let’s go to O’s Place…
