Seminars______________________
 |
Nu
Rho Psi members meet once a week, where one member will give
a presentation based on his or her research project, followed
by questions and discussion among society members. These seminars
enhance presentation skills, encourage critical thinking, and
serve as a way to exchange and update scientific information
between members. For a schedule of presentations, visit our
news and updates section. |

to motivate the entire undergraduate population toward independent
thought and original research and promote interaction between
the academic departments at the student level. Fore more information

Mentorship
Program ____________________________
 |
Underclassmen
(freshmen and sophomores) majoring in neuroscience usually have
many questions and concerns when it comes to choose a concentration
or to find a good research topic among the neuroscience labs.
The mentor/mentee program was created to help them. Every year,
students who wish to participate in the program will sign up
in their neuroscience classes. They will be assigned to a NuRhoPsi
member, who will do his/her best to answer their questions,
help them to locate a satisfying research position, and provide
career outlook. |
Undergraduate
Poster Contest ___________________
 |
Every
spring, Nu Rho Psi holds a campus-wide undergraduate poster
contest in the Glass Pavilion. Anyone who has done research
and wish to present his/her project to the Hopkins undergraduate
community can enter. The posters will be judged by professors
from the Hopkins biology, chemistry, neuroscience and psychology
departments. Its fun, exciting, and provide great interaction
between students and professors. |
Social

year, Nu Rho Psi members go on a leadership retreat and take
part in fun social activities. Activities include white water
rafting rock climbing, hiking, camping, rope challenge courses
and paintball matches. In addition to the retreat, at least

to communicate outside of the academic setting. Activities range
