In conjunction with the Johns Hopkins Recycling Program and Galam Computer Supplies
Offices on the Homewood, Eastern and East Baltimore campuses can recycle laser, laserjet, deskjet, fax and certain copier cartridges through the Johns Hopkins Toner Cartridge Recycling Program. For every recycled cartridge, Galam Computer Supplies makes a donation to the JHU United Way of Central Maryland campaign. During the 2002-2003 school year, Galam returned $1,529 to the JHU United Way campaign.
Homewood and Eastern campus offices should e-mail Patrick Moran, Homewood’s recycling coordinator, or call him at 6-5592 or 410-516-5592 to arrange for a pick-up. Cartridges should NOT be sent through Homewood campus mail.
On the East Baltimore campus, cartridges should be boxed and sent through interdepartmental mail to the recycling coordinator, Latrenya Hines, in Custodial Services, B031 BSPH Building, Bloomberg School of Public Health.
Drum-type cartridges from copiers are not accepted in either location.
