Greetings!
We will be meeting a bit early this week.  This week's HopSFA meeting falls on 
Halloween.  We'll be making a trip to the Abbey where Edger Allen Poe was 
buried this Thursday(there were plans to visit Poe's house as well-but sadly the 
house is not open this year.)  The Abbey is a lot of fun, and there's some pretty 
amusing "re-enactments" in the catacombs.

We will be GATHERING in GIlman 12 at 7:45 on Thursday.  The van will LEAVE at 
8pm sharp, since we want to have pleny of time at the Abbey before it closes.  
Some people are considering going to Fells Point afterwards, but that will 
depend on how many people are interested.   Fells is supposed to be an interesting 
sight on Halloween-lots of people wandering around in costume. 

Speaking of costumes, the HopSFA Halloween Party is this FRIDAY, starting at 
9pm, at 2908 Cresmont Ave. Costumes, rocket fuel, games, music, the usual:)  

For those of you who don't know how to get to Cresmont, take North Charles to 
29th St, and go west (away from St Paul St).  To your right, Cresmont intersects 
with 29th St.  The intersection is right across from the Paper Moon Diner.  
Unfortunately for those of you driving, Cresmont is a one way street going the 
wrong way.  Ah well-there's never much parking there anyway.  Find parking and 
walk up Cresmont Ave.  2908 will be on your left.

  Alternatively, leaving campus from the gate near Shriver, cross the street, 
go about 50 feet to the right, and then turn left on to 31st Street.  Walk up 
31st Street a block of so and then turn left onto Cresmont Ave.  2908 will be on 
your right.
