Hey everyone,

Just a couple anouncements:

1.  The sci-fi/fantasy art and writing contest has officialy begun. That's
right, start sending your stories, poems essays, drawings, photos, etc to
me (if the artwork transfers easily to black and white or a grey scale
you'll make me very happy.)
 	There is NO required subject.  However, if you're not sure where to
begin, suggested themes are "The Beast Within" "Dreamers" and "I Like
Swords."  	
	Due date is Monday, Dec 10th.  Turn submissions in to me via
email (cerionv@jhu.edu), at the next HopSFA meeting, or put them in the
submissions box I'll be putting in the lobby of Levering.  
	All submissions will be feature in the HopSFAnatic, and the
authors/artists will have my undying gratitude andprevent me from crying..
Also, creators of the first place written submission and artwork will
recive:
FREE DESSERT AT VACARRO'S!!!!  Not that I think I need to bribe you guys.
I'm sure that gratitude thing is much more important to you.  Right.

2)  BIRTHDAY Party:  I will be turing 21 this Sunday.  I will be
unfortunately spending most of this time driving home from Mass.  However,
next FRIDAY I will be having a belated birthday party.  The party will be
at 2908 Cresmont Ave (email cerionv@jhu.edu or just ask one of the board
members if you need directions).  Everyone''s welcome. There will be food,
music, alcohol, etc.   I'm not planning on drinking, but I suspect my
friends will be willing to pick up my slack for me:)   Hope to see you
