The Environmental and Health Geoscience
Ph.D. Program at Johns Hopkins
University:
Living in Baltimore

Baltimore is one
of the great, historic cities of the East Coast.
It boasts a gorgeous
harbor, world-renown aquarium, Camden Yards ballpark,
and a patchwork
of small neighborhoods, each with their own cultural scene.
Public transportation
(the MARC train and the METRO)
links Baltimore
with nearby Washington, D.C.
The centerpiece
of Baltimore is the Johns Hopkins University;
the Environmental
and Health Geosciences program will be housed
within the Earth
and Planetary Sciences Department,
located in residential
North Baltimore. Rents are affoardable in Baltimore and
most students find
living space within the adjacent Charles Village neighborhood,
always abuzz with
student activities.
