WE GIVE GOOD RUB

Stressbusters is an incredibly fun and far-reaching community wellness program. It continuously trains and dispatches volunteer teams of students to provide FREE five-minute backrubs and health information to other students and staff at campus events, residence halls, organization meetings, libraries and wherever else the stressed gather. Stressbusters are community service volunteers working to promote health and wellness on campus.

Meet the Stressbusters Coordinators!

Hi all! My name is Brittany, and I am an Anthropology Major and English and Music Double Minor from North Carolina. Stressbusters has been one of my biggest appreciations at JHU since joining sophomore year, especially after forming a bad back condition over time that has required me to go to the chiropractor frequently. Thus, I love the fact that Stressbusters is a mutual stress-reliever to the group and to those whom are graced by our presence. I hope to keep our group optimistic in relieving stress as well as by serving as a role model for others who also suffer from back pain or soreness. Other activities that help bust my stress are building strength at the gym, pursuing my interests in fashion and photography, performing with the Hopkins Symphony Orchestra and serving as an Advisory Board member, taking lessons at Peabody, traveling, writing, and spending cherished times with family and friends. Let us work hard in busting some stress and get to know each other along the way! =)

Hi everyone! My name is Nassira and I a senior Hopkins undergraduate. I'm majoring in Behavioral Biology with a minor in the Study of Women Gender and Sexuality. I really like cats and wearing sweatshirts as the come right out of the dryer. I joined Stressbusters because it's an awesome program - I mean, free back rubs, right? This group is definitely one that's straight up for the students and, more importantly, by the students. I look forward to working with the other Coordinators this year. We plan to come up with some awesome events where you can all relax!

Hello! My name is Sally. I'm going to one of your coordinators this year. A little about myself...  I'm from Irvine, California. I'm a senior majoring in biomedical engineering and minoring in entrepreneurship and management. Throughout my years at Hopkins, this has become my second home. I'm quite involved in Greek life (aKDPhi and APO) and use my spare time outside school and research to volunteer whenever I can such as STEM events, tutoring, and even Stressbusters! The more time one spends at Hopkins the more one realizes the importance of reducing and handling your stress which is why I believe this is such a great program. This is a very privileged role and I look forward to helping out in the best way I can  :)
