HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning)
Buildings A&B are not air-conditioned, they are "climate-controlled." This means that the rooms should stay around 70°. There are not individual controls in rooms.
Electronic Thermostat:
To COOL: Set the switch on the thermostat to COOL and the fan to AUTO or ON. With the fan switch at AUTO, the fan will cycle on and off, depending on the temperature of the room. With the fan in the ON position the fan will run continuously. DO NOT set below 70° - the safety switch will turn the unit off.
To HEAT: Set the switch on the thermostat to HEAT and the fan to AUTO or ON. With the fan switch at AUTO, the fan will cycle on and off, depending on the temperature of the room. With the fan in the ON position, the fan will run continuously. DO NOT set above 76° - the safety switch will turn the unit off.
DO NOT adjust either the heat or a/c by quickly changing the temperature by widely varying amounts. This will short-cycle the unit, causing it to shut down. This will require that a maintenance person reset the unit.
Manual Thermostat:
To COOL: Set the switch on the thermostat to COOL and the fan to AUTO or ON. With the fan switch at AUTO, the fan will cycle on and off, depending on the temperature of the room. With the fan in the ON position, the fan will run continuously. Adjust the temperature by pressing the temperature setting button.
To HEAT: Set the switch on the thermostat to HEAT and the fan to AUTO or ON. With the fan switch at AUTO, the fan will cycle on and off, depending on the temperature of the room. With the fan in the ON position, the fan will run continuously. Adjust the temperature by pressing the temperature setting button.
Always gradually adjust the thermostat temperature. The current indoor temperature is displayed on the left-hand side of the thermostat.
