Friday, Oct. 27 Noon--Leon Uris, author of Redemption. 1 p.m.--Leslie Savan, author of The Sponsored Life: Ads, TV and American Culture. The annual fall membership drive for WJHU began on Oct. 19. Station officials hope to hear from 1,500 listeners during the nine-day on-air drive, whose proceeds, they say, are more important than ever in light of federal funding cutbacks.
