RESEARCH BY WSE GRAD STUDENTS LEADS TO BETTER UNDERSTANDING OF THE SPREAD OF PLANT POLLEN Research into the evolution of plant pollen and mechanisms for its disbursement conducted by Mike Martin and Marcelo Chamecki, doctoral students in the Department of Geography and Environmental Engineering , could lead to improved treatments for many of the estimated 36 million Americans who suffer seasonal allergies.

ALUMNI WEEKEND SUCCESS DoGEE Alumni Day: September 29th,2007
On Saturday, September 29th, 2007, DoGEE hosted an Alumni Day on the JHU Homewood Campus. A lot has been happening in the careers and lives of the DoGEE family during these last few years and it was wonderful to reconnect with you and find out how you've been doing since you've left Hopkins!
During the day, there were three keynote speakers and talks by faculty, students, and other alumni. Ames Hall and the laboratories were open after lunch for tours and reminiscing. Finally, to cap off this wonderful day, we ended with a reception honoring Dr. Charles O'Melia, former Chair of the Department, as he begins his retirement.
