Creative Services
Creativity with results is at the heart of all services provided by Design and Publications personnel. You should expect new approaches to recurrent problems and sound judgment when you seek our professional advice. If for any reason you are dissatisfied with the services provided, please let us know. Advertising
Advertising services include design and production of camera-ready art for placement in local and national media. We can also assist in identifying appropriate media for your ad.

Banners
Banners help publicize major events and meetings. We handle complete production and delivery for both indoor and outdoor banners.

Brochures
Design is meaningless without concept. Design and Publications provides both brochures for recruitment, special programs, lecture series, etc. Cost will vary with size, paper quality, number of pages, etc. Preliminary estimates can be provided.

Certificates
Preprinted with the color seal, certificates are cost-effectively customized for departmental needs. Presentation certificate holders are also available.

Color Copies
Color copies are produced by Printing Services. Copies can be made from originals or from disk up to a 11x17 full bleed. Preplanning of projects assures an effective outcome. Discuss projects with Printing Services

Departmental Newsletters
Several departments send newsletters to their alumni and donors. We assist with design and production for low-budget newsletters.

Folders
Preprinted Hopkins folders in blue and in white are provided by Design & Publications.

Gifts & Specialty Items
Lapel pins, T-shirts, mugs, plates, mouse pads and other commemorative pieces can be designed and ordered for special presentations.

Graphic Design
Design and Publications provides design services for brochures, pamphlets, posters, invitations, programs, signs, citations, and other printed materials. Photography and illustrations are also available.

Invitational Packages
Custom invitation and "save the date" cards can be designed and produced specifically for your needs. Preprinted packages are also available. Text can be designed to fit cards, programs or name tags with either the color or gold stamped seal.

Logos
Customized logos are also designed by Design and Publications.
Accurate university logos can be downloaded from Design and Publications web site, http://www.jhu.edu/~design/stat.html , obtained on logo sheets, or disk form.

Marketing
Our marketing manager provides market research, branding, strategic planning, campaigns management, local and national media buying and placement, needs and trends analysis, copy writing, and more.

Pamphlets
Design and production of pamphlets and flyers, from simple line art to photography, are available.

Photo Files
A central file of photos is maintained by the Design and Publications. Numerous generic photos of campus life, research, and teaching are available.

Photography / Slides
Black and white and full color photography services are available. Hourly and day rates vary depending on the assignment. Prints, slides, photo retouching, graphs and charts are available.

Posters
Posters, signs, and notices to announce up coming meetings and events can be produced cost-effectively.

Printing Services
Quick copy, color copying, duplicating, and offset print projects are produced by Printing Services, located in the basement of Garland Hall. Many jobs can be produced within 24 hours. For more information about Printing Services, visit their web page.

Proofreading
Most materials produced by the Office of University Publications are proofread by our professional staff to ensure quality control.

Publications Planning
Complete publications planning for your department is available from the Publications Office. Yearly planning for publications provides timely, economical results.

Recruitment Materials
Strategic planning and design solutions ensuring results. Brochures, pamphlets, catalogs, posters, and direct mail pieces can be produced based on your recruitment needs.

Signage
Both indoor and outdoor signage can be designed. Design and Publications will handle the production and installation of most signage.

Stationery
University stationery including letterhead, business cards, labels, etc. are produced by Design and Publications in accordance with the guidelines of the JHU identity program.

Web design
D&P develops web sites for departments and organizations throughout JHU. We will help you organize, design and implement your web site with the goal of easy maintenance on your part. We can provide links to other sites, e-mail, interactive forms and questionnaires, and put your site onto the major search engines such as Yahoo, Excite, Lycos etc. We can also design icons, banners, and other graphics to revamp existing sites.
