Early planning of a publication is essential, whether it is to be a single page flyer, full-color brochure or web site. At the initial meeting, we can determine such information as the intended audience, message, delivery date, budget and desired results. Planning ahead can save you from missing your mark.

Doug Behr
Designer
TRAINING- Virginia Tech-BS-Landscape horticulture
EXPERIENCE- 18+ years graphic designer

Doug's strong type sense and thoughtful approach to every design is balanced with an eye to the budget limitations of the client. He believes that good graphic design is a combination of being bold enough to attract attention yet appropriate for the message. His classical sensibility is the foundation for the timelessness of even his most contemporary work. Doug's background in landscape design enhances his understanding of natural scale whether it's type on a printed page or signage on a building.

Kenny Carter
Designer

TRAINING- Villa Julie College-BS-Visual Communication
EXPERIENCE- Metal Fabrication, Illustration, 3-D, Print, and Web Design

Kenny has worked here for a number of years as an intern and has learned so much from the fantastic designers around him. Acquiring Doug’s sense of type and plaid attire, Royce’s attention to detail and curly hair style, Brian’s wit through illustration and sarcasm, and attempting Oliver’s problem solving for web and his facial hair. The facial hair didn’t really fly. Kenny wears several different hats, designing for print, web and 3-Dimensional clients. Kenny mixes a purist attitude for type and sculpture with an imaginative spirit that constantly pushes him to re-invent himself and simplify his design. If you need him to work quicker, throw him a pack of Haribo gummy bears.

Royce Faddis
Designer

TRAINING- Maryland Institute-drawing, printmaking, and photography
EXPERIENCE- 25+ years as a graphic designer

Illustration is Royce's forte and she draws her way to the graphic solution of many projects. Her keen sense of humor can be reflected in clever illustrations or witty headline copy. Her background in print production is the seed for her innovative approach to design that is results-oriented, yet cost-effective. Royce approaches design like a detective—she gathers as much information as possible about the audience of the publication and its purpose before creating a solution.

Oliver Grant

maverick

TRAINING- Miami-Dade College, AA in Graphic Art; Florida International University, Visual Arts
EXPERIENCE- 15 years graphic design, 9 of which in web design

Oliver started off working on Macs and graphics software in 1993 as a prepress operator. This experience added to his production knowledge allowing him to think a project through from beginning to end. Taking into consideration all aspects of a job before designing it helps Oliver to deliver a quality end result at a fast pace. Client's needs, budgets, caffeine, and desired results are the motivating factors involved when Oliver is designing everything from a printed piece, to a website. He also has a passion for new technology and enjoys projects involving cutting edge media.
