Spring Concert: Sunday May 4 8pm at Grace United Methodist church
Congratulations to our newly elected officers for the 2008-09 School Year!About Us
We are the Johns Hopkins Choral Society, one of the oldest groups still active on campus. We are a non-auditioned full chorus (SATB) whose focus is large-scale choral works, usually from the Classical or Baroque periods. Our repetoire varies in difficulty, but we welcome singers of all ranges and experience levels. Since there are no auditions, there is also no pressure. We rehearse once a week, so the commitment level is low, but rewarding. Every season is a new opportunity to improve yourself as a singer and sight-reader, under the tutelage of our wonderful director, Dr. Mark Hardy. We often perform with other groups, such as Baltimore Masterworks and the Goucher College Chorus, in the interest of collaboration and cooperation with other singers in the Baltimore area. Please read on for a better idea of how amazing going Choral can be.
