Making an Appointment

If you wish to make an individual appointment with a career counselor, please call the Career Center at 410-516-8056 or visit the Career Center on the third floor of Garland Hall.

*Before your appointment, you will need to create a Career Center Account. If you already have one, this is a great time to update your user information in it.

During the Career Center’s peak times (early in the fall and spring semesters), you may need to schedule your appointment a week or two in advance. We do receive cancellations, so you may try calling in the morning to see if something has opened up the same day.

What are appointments like?

You may request to meet with a particular counselor or meet with the first available counselor. Each of the Career Center’s counselors are able to help all students, regardless of major or background.

Most initial career counseling appointments are thirty minutes in duration. If you are interested in a mock interview or are returning to have an assessment interpreted, you can expect your appointment to last one hour.

Eligibility for Counseling Appointments

If you are in the following categories, you are eligible to receive unlimited counseling appointments in the Career Center.

• All full-time students in the Krieger School of Arts & Sciences
• All full-time students in the Whiting School of Engineering
• Alumni within two years of graduation of full-time Arts & Sciences and Engineering programs
