The Career Center offers an array of services for all alumni of
full-time Engineering and Arts & Sciences programs, with additional
services available to recent alumni. Whether you are transitioning
in your career, searching for your next opportunity, or looking
for a new job after relocating, these resources and services will
help answer your career needs. As you search for new opportunities,
feel free to contact the Career Center with questions about our
services.
Resources You Can Access Online
- Handouts: You can download any of
the Career Center’s handouts about resumes, cover letters,
job search strategies, networking skills and more. Handouts
- JHU Job and Internship Board:
The Career Center posts all jobs and internships online so that
they can be accessed by students and alumni from anywhere at any
time. Browse the listings for entry-level and experienced jobs
via your J-Connect account.
- inCircle: Nearly half of all job
seekers find jobs through referrals and word of mouth. Take advantage
of the networking opportunities available exclusively to Johns
Hopkins alumni and students. Use inCircle, an online alumni
directory, to locate alumni by name, school, major, geographic
region, profession, or company name. Offered by the Alumni Relations

- CareerTools: a comprehensive job
search and career management website with resources to help you
find a new job, change careers, or better manage your current
career. Offered by the Alumni Relations Office at

- For those who would like assistance beyond JHU, the Career
Center maintains a list of private
and community career services organizations.
Career Events and Resources On Campus
- Career Fairs: The Career Center hosts
several events on campus each year that can help you network with
hiring organizations. Learn about upcoming events and participating
employers via your J-Connect account.
- Workshops: The Career Center offers
a schedule of career workshops and industry panels designed to
give you the knowledge and skills you need to be successful. View

- The Career Center Library (3rd Floor, Garland
Hall): The Career Center's library offers books, directories
and periodicals that can help you define your career goals, help
you prepare for interviews, and help you with your job or internship

- Drop-In Hours at the Career Center:
Drop by to get your quick career questions answered in 15-minute
sessions on a first-come, first-served basis. Click

In addition to the alumni services listed above, alumni who have graduated within the past five academic years may continue to schedule individual appointments (in person or via telephone) with our career counselors.
For example, alumni from the Classes of 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009 may use all
Career Center services during the 2009-2010 academic year.
Alumni who have graduated within the past two academic years (2008 and 2009) may also participate in the 2009-2010 On-Campus Recruiting Program. Alumni that graduated in 2005, 2006 and 2007 are encouraged to make an appointment with a career counselor to discuss the best strategy for their job search, since it will be a more individual process.
