Today the Hopkins Baja team went to get some weld training over at Earlbeck Gases and Technolgy ( http://www.earlbeck.com ) . It was a great day!! We got a lot of GTAW practice. Jim Earlbeck is a fantastic sponsor and donates his time ( on a Saturday no less!! ) in giving us a leg up on the competition with our superior welding training! Earlbeck Gases and Technolgy is also the offical supplier of Hopkins Baja welding consumables.

5.14.09 Visit from the President
The team, had a very distinguished vistor today visit the shop, the new University President Ron Daniels. He was stopping by on his tour of the Whiting School of Engineering labs. The team went over with him the car's features and specs. We were very happy to show off our accomplishments to the University leadership.
4.20.09 - Back from competition
Hey Hopkins Baja Race Fans,
We returned today from the Baja Alabama Competition. It was quite a trip. The car performed very well and we competed in all the events. We finished 56th out of 100. Our next race is June 11 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. We have some work to do on the car before then to make it even faster!!!
4.15.09 - On the road to Auburn
Hi everyone, we just finished consturction on the car!!! Just in time, today we are leaving today at 9 to go to Auburn, Alabama. We think the car looks good, and can perform with the best teams out there. Thanks for your supporrt.

2.18.09 - IT ROLLS!!!!
Hey Everybody,
About a week ago the Hopkins Baja car finally started to look like a vehicle. We got the shocks on and IT ROLLED !!! We are all very excited currently and are getting ready to get the car driving. Our CV-Tech CVT just came in, which will make us able to make the final push for the construction of the drivetrain. Enjoy these pictures of our excitment with the car.
1.16.09 - Car Construction
Hey Everybody,
We are making fantastic progress on building this year's car. We got the tubes in on Monday Jan 12 and have completed the majority of the front chassis. Check back for more updates next week.
