History
Major and Minor

History is a versatile, useful discipline that provides a number of methodological tools applicable in all professional endeavors. Historians constructively use knowledge of the past to understand the present and construct the future. By rigorously studying documents, oral traditions, and artifacts, historians establish the context of events that provide patterns of meanings of significant contemporary collective social relevance.  The craft of the historian connects thought, values, behavior, institutions and culture while providing invaluable training in collecting, analyzing, synthesizing and reporting on data.
