Why I chose Johns Hopkins: I love how Hopkins has such great diversity in classes that I can have a liberal arts education, or choose to focus on a particular area of interest. This flexibility is also present in the extracurricular opportunities that range from Quidditch to Engineers without Borders.

Why I'm glad I chose Johns Hopkins: I love how Hopkins has a great international community. Not only does the school draw students from all over the world, but Hopkins also has many events and clubs with an international focus.

Favorite place on the Homewood campus: The quad outside Gilman hall.

Favorite place in Baltimore: Fells Point. I love the historic homes and cobblestone streets!

Favorite Johns Hopkins memory: Move-in day. I was so excited to finally get settled on campus and decorate my room, too!

What I want to do with my major: I want to work abroad—hopefully in an Arabic-speaking country!

Three unusual things about myself:

  1. I dropped out of high school after my junior year and got a GED.
  2. My favorite type of shopping is grocery shopping.
  3. I have made over 100 pots of Sri Lankan chicken curry in an attempt to find the perfect recipe. I am still working on it . . .
