Hometown: Elk Grove, CA

Major: Economics

Current residence: Charles Commons

Campus involvement: Student Admissions Advisory Board, JHU Tutorial Project, Blue Key Society, Hopkins Hosting Society

Why I chose Johns Hopkins: I chose Johns Hopkins because of the academic programs, the internship opportunities, and because I had the best feeling the second I walked onto campus for the first time. I love the proximity to Washington, D.C., and to New York. And of course the campus is absolutely beautiful!

Favorite class: I haven’t taken it yet, but I’m very excited for Economics of Health; it combines my love of economics and interest in the global health care system.

Why I'm glad I chose Johns Hopkins: I love how social Hopkins is and how easy it is to get involved on campus beginning freshman year. There is never a dull moment and there are so many exciting places to explore in Baltimore! I can't imagine myself anywhere else.

Favorite place on the Homewood campus: Brody Learning Commons! It’s absolutely beautiful and is definitely my favorite study spot on campus.

Favorite Johns Hopkins memory: All the late-night shenanigans with my friends in AMR II (and now Charles Commons!) are always my favorite memories.

Coolest (spring/summe/winter) break experience: Well... it hasn't happened yet, but JHU_Ian has promised to take me to Italy!

Three unusual things about myself:

  1. I purposely wear mismatched socks.
  2. I was named after a soap opera character.
  3. I'm ALWAYS smiling!
